It has been a busy few months. Here is a round-up of what is now live in Sealogical for every vessel: full accounting inside Finance, Deck Plans, a rebuilt Technical module, AI document scanning, Crew Compliance and more.
It has been a busy few months on the platform. This is a round-up of what is now live in Sealogical for every vessel, module by module.
The Finance add-on now carries a full general ledger for each vessel: a chart of accounts, journals, bank reconciliation and a month-end close, with a P&L, balance sheet, trial balance and a monthly pack for owners. Crew payroll, expenses, invoices, APA, gratuities and budgets are all part of the same add-on.
Draw your General Arrangement as one plan per deck, free on every vessel. The Deck Plans add-on then puts the work where it is on board:
Every vessel can try it free for 30 days.
Technical now opens on Jobs. A job can have several assignees, crew can be @mentioned or follow it, photos can be marked up on the spot and short videos attached from a phone. Supplier quotes are held against the job and compared side by side, and accepting one raises the purchase order. Findings from surveys convert straight into jobs.
Scan a passport, visa, discharge book, medical or STCW certificate and the names, dates and numbers are filled in for you to check before saving. The same works for vessel certificates and for supplier invoices in Finance.
Set the qualifications each position needs — with ready-made templates for Captain, officers, engineers, deck, galley and interior — and see at a glance who on board is missing something. The Planner lays out rotations on a timeline, checks each day's manning against your minimum headcount and exports any gaps to Excel or PDF.
Charter guest lists now hold several travel documents per guest, and export the IMO FAL Form 6 passenger list with the passport each guest is travelling on.
Also in the reports library: the Compliance Pack, a timestamped ZIP of what port state control, auditors and agents ask for, and the Annual Incident Summary, which counts a year of accidents, near-misses and hazardous occurrences the way a flag state's annual return asks for.
The help centre now lives inside the app, at lab.sealogical.com/help, with step-by-step guides for every module.
If you would like a walk-through of any of this on your own vessel, get in touch.
